Hello Spring, here we come!!!!

This week has certainly felt like Spring to me, how about y'all? I don't know how many times I have had to remind myself to NOT get ahead of the season and start my planting and cleaning out the flower beds!! LOL But I am SOOOOO ready!!!




I was scrolling through my pictures from last Spring & Summer, and ran across this gorgeous bright yellow sunflower! One of my favorites! When you see this how can you keep from smiling!!! :)











These Zinnias are a perfect Summer and Fall flower!!! They truly last forever! I love to dry them and use them all year in my home décor! Just so pretty!!!















Now it is almost time to start sowing those colder weather loving plants! One of our all time favorites is the Russian Red Kale! It is SOOO delish!!! We love to eat is in salads, cooked or as a wrap for your lunches! We have a few cold weather seeds still available but they are selling fast now that the weather is turning! Hurry on in to grab them while you can!

Now let's get to this weeks recipe!!!! Oh my it is soooooo good and easy!!!! This recipe is great year round, but the beautiful bright yellow is perfect on those days you are craving some good ole sunshine!! Save this one to serve on hot Summer days too!


Lemon Delish

Make this scrumptious lemon dessert for a treat the whole family will love! Featuring a sweet, lemony flavor, this no-bake dessert is the perfect way to lighten your mood on a warm day.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 c. powdered sugar

  • 3/4 c. plus 2 T. ground walnuts

  • 1/2 c. butter softened

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

  • 1 8 oz. tub whipped topping, thawed and divided

  • 2 pkgs. instant lemon pudding mix

  • 3 c. milk

  • 1/2 c. walnuts chopped, optional

Instructions

  • Coat a 9″ x 13″ pan with cooking spray. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, ground walnuts, and butter until incorporated.

  • Press the mixture into the pan and chill in refrigerator while preparing other ingredients.

  • Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth..

  • Fold in half of the whipped topping.

  • Spread evenly over the chilled crust and set aside.

  • Beat packages of lemon pudding mix with 3 cups of milk for 2 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken.

  • Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Chill for at least an hour.

  • Spread the other half of the whipped topping over the pudding layer.

  • Add chopped walnuts to the top of the whipped topping layer.

  • Serve and refrigerate leftovers.
