Another busy week here at Troutt Old Time General Store and Market!
Goodness this weather has been amazing!!! It actually feels like a real Fall this year!!
So grateful! Now if we could get a little rain to settle the dust we've been stirring up running around here LOL.
Last week was our first Troutt Blessing Subscription Box launch and what an amazing time!!! Such wonderful feedback from everyone!! We have a few extra boxes I made available so you can purchase one if you missed out!!

We've got our Annual Harvest Festival coming up next weekend!! There will be lots of fun things going on! We'll have sales, giveaways and samples!!! Be sure to take a picture with our GIANT pumpkin on our porch!!!

Now for our weekly recipe!!!
This weeks recipe is all about Fall fruits and vegetables!
Try this delicious Harvest Time Bake!!
Apple and Squash Bake
Ingredients 1 butternut squash, deseeded and peeled
1/4 C. butter, melted
2 apples, any variety, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 T. flour
Instructions Cut (with one of our wonderful Rada knives!!) squash into 3/4 inch slices. Layer the squash in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan.
Place apples over the squash
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, and salt. Mix and add melted butter.
Spoon the mixture evenly over the apples. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until tender. Serve warm and ENJOY!!!
